Cortland weekend weather forecast: (Almost) feels like summer

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Central New York will receive plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures this weekend, though cooler weather is expected to arrive next week.

A scattering of light fog will be seen in river valleys Friday morning, though clear weather is expected through the near-term forecast period, according to The National Weather Service in Binghamton. Temperatures will push back into the middle and upper 60s as a cold front leaves the region.

Dry and warm weather will arrive Saturday, with virtually no chance for precipitation. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid 70s, about 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Clear skies at night will allow for chillier temperatures, with lows in the lower 50s.

A cold front accompanied by rain will arrive early next week, with temperatures dipping down into the lower 60s by Tuesday.

Our advice: Enjoy the warm weather while it's still here!
