Cortland women's soccer to host Brockport in SUNYAC Quarterfinals Saturday

The Cortland women's soccer team will host Brockport in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex Red Field.

The Red Dragons are the third seed in the six-team playoffs after finishing 6-3 in league play. Cortland is 9-4-3 overall. Brockport is 9-6-2 overall and earned the sixth seed for the tournament with a 4-4-1 league mark.

The winner will play at second-seeded Plattsburgh in the semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. The championship game will be held on Nov. 4 at the highest remaining seed, with the winner earning an NCAA Division III tournament automatic berth.

Cortland has won eight SUNYAC titles, most recently in 2012. The Red Dragons are making their first SUNYAC tournament appearance since finishing second in 2014.
