Groton man arrested after domestic dispute

Narrative: This arrest occurred after troopers responded to a Tompkins County 911 report of a dispute at a home in the Town of Dryden. An investigation determined that during a verbal dispute with a woman, Nielsen grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground, police said. He also smashed the front windshield of her 2011 Ford F-150. He was arraigned in the Town of Dryden Court and was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $600 cash bail. His next court date is pending.
Crash leads to DWI charge for Liverpool man

Narrative: Tompkins County sheriff's deputies responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Main Street in the town of Dryden. Upon arrival, deputies located the driver, Jamell L. Works, age 32, of Liverpool, N.Y. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for DWI. Along with DWI charges, the driver also had a warrant out of the Tompkins County Sheriffs Office. The driver was processed and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail.
Endicott woman charged with shoplifting

Narrative: On October 24, at approximately 9 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to Walmart, located in the Town of Cortlandville, for a shoplifting complaint. Officers arrested 19-year-old Lydia G. Griffin for stealing merchandise from the store and
possessing the license of another. She was arrested, processed, and later released on an appearance ticket.
Dryden man arrested on DWI charge

Date Arrested: Oct. 21, 2017
Narrative: On October 21, 2017, at around 1:54 a.m., deputies made a traffic stop on Slaterville Road in the Town Of Dryden. The vehicle, a 1999 purple Dodge was stopped for erratic operation. The driver of the vehicle, David J. Garner, age 27, of Dryden, was arrested upon further investigation at the scene. Garner was arrested for DWI, processed and released.
