WILKES-BARRE, PA. – Sophomore J.P. Puca (Huntington) finished first at 174 pounds and four other Red Dragons earned runner-up finishes as nationally 11th-ranked Cortland opened the season at the King's College Ned McGinley Invitational.

Puca went 4-0 on his way to the 174-pound title. He opened with an 18-3 technical fall, followed by two pins. He won by injury default in the title match.
