AURELIUS, N.Y. - A Cortland man was arrested Saturday and charged with the attempted rape of a minor, according to state police.
Domenick Krango, 60, was taken into custody after he allegedly attempted to engage in sexual activity with a 12-year-old child in the town of Aurelius in Cayuga County.
Officers arrested Krango before he made contact with the child, police said.
His felony charges include attempted rape, attempted criminal sexual act, and attempted disseminating indecent material to minors.
Krango was arraigned in Aurelius Town Court and taken to Cayuga County Jail with no bail.
