Weather outlook: What to expect this week in Cortland County

A light mix of snow and rain will continue through Monday afternoon. There is a chance for a few lake effect flurries or sprinkles Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Temperatures will hover between 40 and 45 degrees during the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, dipping down into the mid 20s at night.

Two storm systems will move across parts of New York and Pennsylvania beginning Wednesday night. The first storm will brain a mix of rain and snow showers through early Thursday morning before warming temperatures change the precipitation to rain. Gusty winds are also possible.

A more powerful storm system is expected to bring a fair amount of rain to the area beginning Saturday morning, when highs will be in the mid 40s. On Sunday, a cold front will push temperatures back down into the mid 30s.
