Man charged with DWI after rolling over vehicle

Narrative: On Saturday, Dec. 9, at approximately 5:10 a.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to Route 221 in the town of Lapeer for a one-car crash. Barry W. Baldwin III, 24, was traveling west on Route 221 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic, struck a culvert, and overturned his vehicle, the sheriff's office said. He was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center by Marathon Ambulance for minor facial injuries and shoulder pain. He was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Narrative: On Sunday, Dec. 2, at approximately 1:48 a.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's office stopped a vehicle being operated by 21-year-old Logan Youngs on Starr Road in the town of Cortlandville for an equipment violation. Youngs was found to be driving without a valid license, authorities said. He and his passenger, 27-year-old Matthew Hudson, were also found to be in possession of heroin, oxycodone, hypodermic needles, and other drug paraphernalia, police said. Both were taken into custody and released to Alternatives to Incarceration with a future court date scheduled.

Narrative: At approximately 12:44 a.m. Sunday, officers stopped to check on the occupants of a vehicle parked on Riley Road in Cortlandville. The driver, 24-year-old Shiloh Rundell, was found to be driving the vehicle while having a suspended driver's license. Rundell and his passenger, 23-year-old Devon O'Hara, were both found to be in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles. They were arrested, processed, and later released on appearance tickets.
