Homer woman charged in domestic incident

Narrative: At around 5:42 a.m., Jan. 8, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a home on Route 13 in the town of Homer for a complaint of a physical domestic incident. Officers arrived to find that Michele Proulx was involved in an incident in which she pushed and obstructed the breathing of another family member at the residence. Proulx was taken into custody on $2,000 cash bail.

Husband and wife accused of shoplifting

Narrative: At around 6:45 p.m., Jan. 6, officers responded to Walmart in Cortlandville for a larceny complaint. Daniel Cook, 59, and Tammy Cook, 52, were caught shoplifting merchandise from the store, authorities said. They were arrested and released on appearance tickets.

Moravia man charged with drug possession

Narrative: On Saturday, Jan. 6, at around 1:44 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle being operated by 21-year-old Andrew Ellerson, of Moravia, for failing to keep right on Locust Avenue in Cortlandville. Ellerson was found to be operating a vehicle while his license was suspended, authorities said. He also had heroin, marijuana, and hypodermic needles in his vehicle, the sheriff's office said. He was taken into custody on $150 cash bail.
