Narrative: At around 7:30 a.m. Monday, a New York State Parole officer went to Hart's residence in order to conduct a parole check. He discovered nearly 28 grams of marijuana in Hart's apartment, according to the City of Cortland Police Department. The officer contacted police and Hart was sent to Cortland County Jail without bail. A future court date had not been set at the time of this release.

Cincy man crashes car in attempt to avoid police

Narrative: At around 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a vehicle being driven by 27-year-old Derick Ledger for speeding on Route 221 in the town of Willet. Ledger lost control of his vehicle while attempting to elude police, the sheriff's office said. He crashed his vehicle on Landers Corners Road in Willet. He was not injured. Ledger was found to be driving a vehicle with a revoked license and in possession of a controlled substance. Ledger was arraigned in Marathon Town Court and taken to the Cortland County Jail without bail pending an appearance in Cortland County Court.

Narrative: At around 3:52 a.m., a vehicle being operated by 41-year-old Sara Anderson failed to stop at a stop sign on the corner of Luker Road and McLean Road in the town of Cortlandville. Officers found Anderson to be intoxicated. She subsequently fought with officers, kicking, shoving and pushing them as they were taking her into custody, the sheriff's office said. Anderson was processed and released to appear in court at a later date.
