CORTLAND, N.Y. - New York State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi will speak in Cortland this weekend as part of his campaign against Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney .

Brindisi will be a guest speaker at a town hall meeting hosted by Indivisible Cortland County on Sat., Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. Meetings are held at the United Presbyterian Church located at 25 Church Street in Cortland.

Brindisi, a Democrat, represents New York's 119th assembly district. He announced his intention to run against Rep. Tenney in July of last year. Rep. Tenney represents the 22nd congressional district, which also includes all of Cortland County, along with all or parts of seven other New York counties.

Modeled after the national 'Indivisible' movement, Indivisible Cortland County was formed by local residents following the 2016 presidential election. Last year, ICC invited Tenney to speak at one of their meetings, but she declined the invitation.

Those who attend Saturday's forum are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items, which will be donated to local food pantries.
