YWCA Cortland begins second session of winter classes

A New Session of Classes at the YWCA Cortland!

The YWCA Cortland will soon begin our second session of winter classes for adults and children. All adult classes are open to men and women of any age. Membership at the YWCA is not always required, but class prices are discounted for members. Registration, unless noted, will begin on Saturday, February 10.

Shido-Kan Karate – Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The beginner’s class is for ages 8-12 and meets from 6:15-7:15 pm. The adult class, for ages 13 and up and meets from 7:15-8:30 pm. 15% discount for additional family members. Registration begins on Sunday, February 18. Classes will run March 6-April 26.

Gymnastics – The YWCA offers parent and tot classes for children ages 1-2. For preschool children, choose between Preschool Gym I, a parent and child introductory gymnastic class for parents and their 2-4 year olds or Preschool Gym II for children age 3-5 (without parent). We also offer a beginner Gymnastic classes for ages 5-12. Class times vary. The session will run February 26-April 12.

Piano and Guitar Lessons- The YWCA offers music lessons on Fridays. Piano will meet from 4:30-5:00 pm and guitar from 5:00-5:30 pm. Classes are for children 5 & up, but adults are welcome to join in on the fun. Registration will end on February 27. The session will run March 2-March 23.

The YWCA also offers TapFit, Aerobics, Kickboxing, Hatha Yoga, Cycling, BOSU, a women’s weight training class and water exercise classes. For more information, contact the YWCA, 753-9651.
