Winning lottery ticket worth $1 million sold at Dryden store

DRYDEN, N.Y. - A Mega Millions ticket valued at $1 million was sold in the town of Dryden, the New York State Lottery announced in a brief press release Wednesday.

The winning ticket was sold at the Rite Aid located at 11 Main Street in Dryden, according to the state lottery website.

The winning numbers from Wednesday's Mega Millions drawing were 14-17-25-48-58.

Wednesday's winner won second prize by matching all five of those numbers, guaranteeing a $1 million prize for the ticket holder.

In September, a Homer man purchased a winning lottery ticket worth $104 million at a Mirabito gas station on Route 281 in Preble. In June 2016, a man from Groton won $1 million on a lottery scratch-off ticket.
