CORTLAND, N.Y. — Local businesses showcased their culinary skills Saturday as part of the 11th annual Chillabration festival in downtown Cortland.

Twenty-three restaurants and retailers participated in the event and competed for the title of "Cortland Area's Best Chili" and "Favorite Winter Flavor."

Community Restaurant took home the trophy for best chili for the second year in a row. Restaurant owner Evan Souzas concocted a special batch of bourbon steak chili that was hard to resist.

Also for the second year in a row, Frosted bakery took home the crown for "favorite winter flavor" with their sweet and savory blend of "dessert chili," a mix of ice cream, cookie dough, and chocolate.
