CORTLAND, N.Y. — A winter storm watch will take in effect in Cortland County from late Thursday night through late Friday evening.

Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches of snow are possible, with localized amounts of up to 12 inches in higher terrain, according to the National Weather Service.

The watch will be in effect in Cortland, Madison, Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware counties.

Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Friday. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

A winter storm watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
