Drug possession charges for Cortland woman

Narrative: Police responded to 181 Homer Avenue regarding a disturbance. Libbey was found to be in possession of a small amount of meth and a needle, police said. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Cops: Man failed to register as sex offender

Cortland woman accused of shoplifting from Walmart

Narrative: Troopers responded to a theft at Walmart on Bennie Road in Cortlandville. An investigation revealed that Wendell used a self-checkout lane and did not scan 42 items totaling $279.14. She then left the store with the unpaid merchandise. She was arrested and released on an appearance ticket.

Norwich man charged with DWI

Name: Craig A. Pike
Age: 49

Charge(s): Driving while intoxicated with a reported B.A.C. of .10 percent (misdemeanor)
Narrative: Troopers made the arrest after another driver contacted Cortland County 911 reporting that a vehicle was driving erratically along County Route 221. The trooper was able to spot Pike’s vehicle on Broome Street in the Village of Marathon as Pike parked his vehicle and was getting out of it. After an investigation, Pike was arrested.
