CORTLAND, N.Y. — The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a winter weather advisory for Cortland County.
The advisory will take effect at 2 p.m. Saturday and remain in effect until 2 p.m. Sunday.
Freezing rain is expected to start developing Saturday afternoon, with sleet mixing at times. Total ice accumulation of a tenth to one quarter inch is expected.

The advisory is also in effect for Tompkins, Madison, Chenango, and Onondaga counties.
Scattered power outages and tree damage are possible at times due to ice accumulation. Travel could become hazardous at times.
