Cortland man charged with illegal weapons possession

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland man is accused of illegally possessing several firearms at his local residence.

Michael W. Conger, 58, faces four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.

On April 11, at around 4 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office acted on a tip and found Conger to be in possession of four different firearms.

Conger was processed and later released.

He is due to appear in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
