Homer police warn of phone scam

Officers of the Homer Police Department would like to advise people of the most recent phone scam.

The person calling will claim that they are from the local police department and there is a warrant for your arrest or there has been allegations made against you.

The person will advise you to return a call to them immediately or further actions will be taken. This is similar to the several other phone scams thieves have been using in an effort to trick people in giving them money.

Please don’t fall for it and simply hang up or don’t call the person back. Thank you.
