Harford man arrested following disturbance

Name: Robert J. Crossman, Jr.

Location: Harford, N.Y.

Summary: On Tuesday, May 1, at approximately 5 p.m. in the area of State Route 38 in the town of Harford, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported disturbance. Upon further investigation, it is alleged that two individuals drove to a residence in Harford to settle a dispute over an incident that occurred earlier that day in the village of Dryden. The two individuals confronted the resident and an argument ensued. It’s alleged that Robert Crossman Jr. displayed a firearm at one of the individuals in the presence of three children under the age of 17. All parties involved left the area prior to police arrival and no one was injured during the incident. Crossman was arraigned in the Town of Harford Court May 2 and was released in court. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and additional charges are pending. Anyone with more information about the incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 607- 758-5540.

Harford man arrested following disturbance

Name: Emily A. Sackman

Location: Yaman Park, Cortland, N.Y.

Summary: Twenty-year-old Emily A. Sackman, of Westbury, N.Y., was arrested May 2 at 1:45 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, trespassing, and unauthorized use of a license, which are violations. Police allege Sackman was in Yaman Park after hours and had a fake driver's license, marijuana, and marijuana oil. She was released to appear in city court May 7.

Pitcher man charged with DWI

Name: Dylan R. Teichert

Location: Cortlandville, N.Y.

Summary: On Monday, April 30, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville. After further investigation, 20-year-old Dylan Teichert, of Pitcher, was found to be operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition while his driver’s license was suspended. He was charged as an aggravated unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a felony. He was processed and later arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court at 7 a.m. on May 1. He was released in court to Alternatives to Incarceration and is due back in Cortlandville Town Court on May 14.
