Pair faces drug charges following Cortlandville traffic stop

Location: Route 13, Town of Cortlandville
Summary: On June 24, 2018 at approximately 12:53 a.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, two passengers in the vehicle (listed above) were found to be in possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana, authorities said. Both were arrested, processed, and later released on appearance tickets.

Summary: Daniels was driving while using a cellphone. She was later found to be intoxicated and was charged with DWI, police said.
Traffic stop leads to arrest

Location: Tompkins Street and Main Street, City of Cortland
Summary: At around 2:57 a.m. Saturday, police arrested 21-year-old Carlton J. Lenahan for operation of a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Lenahan was stopped at the red light at Tompkins and Main Street when he made an illegal turn, police said.
Cortland man fought with officers, police say
Name: Oluwataobi W. Osayi
Location: Clinton Avenue, City of Cortland
Summary: Osayi, 24, of Cortland, was stopped on Clinton Avenue on June 22, 2018, for not having a driver’s license. He attempted to walk away from officers and began fighting with officers, according to Lt. Richard Troyer with the Cortland Police Department. He was charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors. He was also charged with violations of disorderly conduct and using another person’s driver’s license.
Man charged after smashing car window
Name: Richard B. Warner
Location: Pendleton Street, City of Cortland
Summary: Warner, 29, was arguing with a 27-year-old female on Pendleton Street when he broke her car window while her one-year-old child was in the vehicle, scattering glass on the 1-year-old, police said. The child was not injured. Warner was charged with criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.
