Cortland man charged with stabbing in Locke

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland man has been charged with felony assault in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours Saturday in the town of Locke.

At around 3:32 a.m. Saturday, the Cayuga County 911 Center received a report of an assault that had just occurred outside a home on Tollgate Hill Road in the town of Locke.

EMS personnel were dispatched to the location where they found a 29-year-old male victim that had suffered multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he is currently being treated. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old Bryan L. Lee, of Cortland, following an investigation. Lee was charged with one count of assault in the second degree, a felony. He was arraigned in Owasco Town Court and remanded to Cayuga County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed, the sheriff's office said.
