CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland woman faces seven felony charges after being accused of performing sexual acts with a child, filming it, and sending the footage to someone else, the City of Cortland Police Department announced in a news release Thursday.
Brittany E. Berry, 23, of 44 Rickard St., was arrested Monday afternoon following an investigation by city police.
From August to September of this year, Berry had sexual contact on several occasions with a male under the age of five, according to Lt. Richard Troyer with the City of Cortland Police Department.
The acts were filmed on video and sent to another individual, police said.
Berry faces felony charges of predatory sexual assault against a child, conspiracy, criminal sex, incest, sexual abuse, promoting a sexual performance by a child, and possessing a sexual performing by a child. She was also charged with a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child.
Berry was sent to Cortland County Jail without bail. She was scheduled to be arraigned in Cortland City Court on Thursday.
