CORTLAND, N.Y. — The City of Cortland Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that reportedly occurred early Sunday morning on Monroe Heights.
The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sep. 9, according to police.
The suspect is described as a bearded white male, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall, medium build, in his late twenties or early thirties, and wearing glasses.
The Cortland Police Department is encouraging people to lock their doors and windows at all times, to walk in groups, to report any suspicious activity to the police department, to be alert of your surroundings, and stay in well-lit areas if possible.
