Cops: Cortland man charged with felony DWI had children in vehicle

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland man was arrested Saturday after allegedly driving drunk with three small children in his vehicle.

Around 7:45 p.m., the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to Penguin Trailer Park in Cortlandville for a harassment complaint.

One of the two parties involved, 25-year-old Dustin Brown, of Cortland, was found to be in an intoxicated condition while operating a motor vehicle, the sheriff's office said. He had three small children in the vehicle as passengers.

Brown was arrested, processed, and later arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court and released. He faces a felony charge of aggravated DWI with a child in the car, a felony.

The children were turned over to family members.
