Baldwinsville woman charged with drug possession following traffic stop

CORTLAND, N.Y. — An Onondaga County woman was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop in the town of Cortlandville.

Around 11:55 a.m., officers of the Cortland County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle being driven by 26-year-old Charquillia N. Addison, of Baldwinsville, for speeding on Route 11 in the town of Cortlandville.

Upon further investigation, Addison was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

Addison was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and inadequate or loud muffler and speed in zone.

Addison was arrested, processed, and released on appearance tickets. Addison is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on Oct. 15.
