Pennsylvania man charged following one-car crash in Willet

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Pennsylvania man was charged in connection with a crash that took place in the town of Willet.

At around 7:50 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to investigate a one-car crash that occurred on Bloody Pond Road in the town of Willet.

The driver, 21-year-old Damian R. Bleck, of Friendsville, Penn., told officers that he was traveling on Bloody Pond Road the night before when he struck a deer and went off the roadway.

Bleck was located at a nearby residence. He did not suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and failure to keep right, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speed not reasonable, unlicensed operation, and unlawful possession of marijuana, all violations.

Arraignment took place in Willet Town Court. He was held on $100 cash bail.
