Two charged in attempted robbery at Cortland P&C Store

CORTLAND, N.Y. — Two people were arrested Thursday after police say they attempted to steal items from a local grocery store.

At around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, police were called to the P&C food store at 160 Clinton Avenue for an altercation between an employee and a customer.

According to police, 28-year-old Jordan L. Price, of Cortland, stole food items from the store and got into a physical altercation with an employee who tried to stop him from leaving. Price had a needle, methamphetamine, marijuana scales, and packaging material in his possession at the time of his arrest, police said.

Price was accompanied by 34-year-old Kimberly A. Cummings, of Locke, who was arrested on similar charges.

The pair was arrested for robbery in the third degree, a felony, along with several drug-related misdemeanor charges.
