Access to Independence of Cortland County announces new executive director

CORTLAND, N.Y. — Access To Independence Board of Directors is proud to announce and welcome Aaron T. Baier as the Agency’s Executive Director.

Aaron has been employed with Access To Independence for 12 years. He brings his experience in independent living and advocacy.  Aaron holds a MPA in public and nonprofit management from Marist College and is an alumnus of SUNY Cortland.

Aaron will lead all agency operations and will work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to ensure high quality services. He will serve as the main contact and spokesperson for Access To Independence and will represent the agency in all professional business capacities. Aaron will oversee program staff to ensure compliance with all program, grant and contract requirements.

“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and for the support of Board and staff,” Aaron said upon acceptance of his new role. “I am excited to work more closely with community partners and to build new relationships. I believe collectively as a community, we will empower people with disabilities to lead independent lives.”

Aaron’s first official day as Executive Director is October 24, 2018.
