Scranton woman extradited to Cortland County on drug charges

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested Thursday and extradited to Cortland County following a narcotics investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff's Office.

Sarena L. Turner, 24, was arrested Thursday on a sealed indictment handed up by the Cortland County Supreme Court for two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a felony, and three counts of conspiracy in the fourth degree, also a felony.

The indictment came as a result of a narcotics investigation conducted by the Cortland County Sheriff's Office and the Cortland County Drug Task Force.

Turner was arrested in Lackawanna County, Penn., and extradited back to Cortland County by the Cortland County Sheriff's Office.

Turner was arraigned in Cortland County Court on Nov. 1 and held on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. She is due back in court on Dec. 6.
