Cortaca Halftime Report: Penalties cripple Cortland, Ithaca leads 21-7

CORTLAND, N.Y. — A 58-yard touchdown reception caught by Cortland Wide Receiver Nick Anderson with less than 1 minute remaining helped cut the Ithaca Bombers' lead to 21-7 at halftime.

The Red Dragons had 10 penalties called against them in the first half, resulting in a total net loss of 92 yards. The Bombers, meanwhile have only had one penalty called on them for a loss of 10 yards.

The Bombers got on the scoreboard early. Runningback Kendall Anderson scored a 1-yard touchdown with halfway through the first period. Less than four minutes later, Ithaca Wide Receiver Hayden Frey caught a 24-yard pass from Quarterback Wahid Nabi to put the Bombers up 14-0.

Late in the second period, Ithaca's Will Gladney caught a 17-yard pass from Nabi to increase the Bombers' lead to 21-0.

Despite a tough start, Cortland's Brett Segala managed to throw a bomb to Cortland Wide Receiver nick Anderson for a 42-yard touchdown reception, reducing Ithaca's lead to 21-7 at halftime.
