CORTLAND, N.Y. — A Cortland man was arrested Monday following an investigation into two separate complaints involving home repairs that were not completed despite payments being made.

On Monday, the Cortland County Sheriff's Office arrested 35-year-old Tyler J. Trudeau, of Cortland, and charged him with two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony, and scheme to defraud in the first degree, also a felony.

Trudeau was arrested after officers investigated two separate complaints where he had agreed to complete repairs at the victim's residence by receiving money for materials. However, Trudeau never returned to complete the work.

Trudeau was arrested after turning himself in, authorities said.

He was arraigned in Homer Town Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on Dec. 18.
