Groton man charged with DWI

Name: Brandon E. Gunn, 27, of Groton
Charges: Driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; driving while intoxicated .08 BAC or higher, a misdemeanor; drove across hazard markings, a violation; speed not reasonable and prudent, a violation
Details: On Dec. 4, 2018, at around 10:18 p.m., officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to Route 90, in the town of Homer, for a one-car motor vehicle crash. Deputies determined that Gunn was intoxicated. He was released to a third party.

DWI charge for Homer man

Name: Kevin J. Reese, 27, of Homer
Charges: Driving while intoxicated with a reportable B.A.C. of .17%, a misdemeanor
Details: Troopers stopped Reese for speeding while he was on State Route 281 in the town of Homer. After an investigation, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Reese was later released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Homer Court on January 8, 2019.

Tully man accused of stealing from Cortland business

Name: Justin M. Relyea, 28, of Tully
Charges: Grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony
Details: Troopers originally responded to Mr. Tire on Route 13 in the town of Cortlandville on Oct. 2, 2018. The complainant told troopers that while Relyea was working at the location as a manager he stole more than $1,500 in tires and services during the summer. An investigation revealed that Relyea performed services on a vehicle and kept the cash, police said. He was arrested on Dec. 2 and released on an appearance ticket.
