Cortland woman charged with DWI
Name: Olivia E Roos, 21, of 4 Miller St., Cortland
Charges: Aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, all misdemeanors, as well as driving without headlights, a violation
Details: Roos was arrested at 3:38 this morning after she was pulled over for driving without headlights on Homer Avenue, according to city police. Roos was released this morning and is set to appear in City Court at a future date.
Cortland man charged with violating order of protection
Name: Christopher M. Poston, 26, of 31 Franklin St., Cortland
Charges: Second-degree criminal contempt arrested and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, misdemeanors
Details: Poston went at about 2:30 p.m. Monday to a residence on Hyatt Street of a 43-year-old woman who had a valid order of protection against him, according to city police. When officers were called to the home, Poston ran away and was caught near the residence, police said. Poston was released to appear Jan. 16 in City Court.
