Hundreds of people gathered at the intersection of Main Street and Tompkins Street Monday night for the annual ball drop from the Clocktower Apartments building.
Onlookers watched as the ceremonial ball was lowered as the clock struck midnight.
This year's performances included a 20-minute fire dance and downtown walkabout performances, capped off by a fireworks display.
The event was made possible by the Cortland Downtown Partnership and McNeil & Company.
