DERUYTER, N.Y. — DeRuyter dominated in a 92-36 win over Cincinnatus Friday night, with Louie Glisson reaching the 1,000th point mark of his High School career.

“Honestly it feels great. There is really no other way to describe this,” said Glisson. “I have been able to help out my team. We have been working together all season and hopefully we keep it rolling to get more wins.”

Glisson led the Rockets in scoring with 27 points, 14 of them coming in the first quarter. By the end of the first half, Glisson marked 1,001 career points on a fast break wide open lay-up.

“It is a real honor to have a player who has scored a thousand points, especially on the amount of time that he did it on, since it was a little less than three years,” said DeRuyter Boys Basketball Coach Ric Barnes. “That is only the third player that has done that at this school, making him an elite player.”

Coden Stafford led the Cincinnatus Central Lions in scoring with 17 points, 12 of them coming from behind the arc.

DeRuyter stands now with a 14-3 overall record, while Cincinnatus is now 0-13.
