Accused: Brandon L. Batsford, 19, of 5368 Mead Road, Homer

Charges: Driving while ability impaired by drugs and operating a vehicle while registration is  suspended or revoked, misdemeanors, as well as inadequate lights and unlawful possession of marijuana, violations

Details: Batsford was arrested for driving while impaired by marijuana after he was stopped for inadequate lights about 9:45 p.m. Saturday on Route 281 in Cortlandville, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. Batsford was processed and released; his next court appearance is set for 2:30 p.m. March 25 in Cortlandville Town Court.

Accused: Nancy C. Gouchie, 64, of 746 State Route 264, Phoenix, NY

Charges: Driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content at or above 0.08 percent, misdemeanors, as well as improper stickers and no distinctive license plate, violations

Details: Gouchie was arrested for driving drunk at 9:53 p.m. Friday on Song Lake Road in Preble after she was pulled over for not displaying a license plate, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. Gouchie was processed and released in the care of a sober person; she is set to appear at 6 p.m. on March 12 in Preble Town Court.
