The Cortland Figure Skating Club put on an exhibit performance “Under the Big Top” this weekend featuring advanced home skaters, adorable toddler skaters and a Team USA guest skater.
The shows on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at the JM McDonald Center also featured local senior skaters, as well as other club skaters, skating as magicians, tightrope artists and lions.
The performance of Team USA member Elissa Kempisty, 19, of Massachussettes, capped off the night of jumps, spins and dances inspired by “The Greatest Showman” movie.
Kempisty is a member of the national synchronized skating team that competes around the world.
