CORTLAND, N.Y. — A search warrant resulted in the arrest of a Cortland man on drug possession charges, authorities announced Friday.
On Friday, May 17, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics search warrant at a home on Lincoln Avenue, according to Sgt. Garry Williams with the sheriff’s office.
The warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Cortland County Drug Task Force, Sgt. Williams said.
Officers arrested 21-year-old Bryshawn Lewis after locating approximately 2 grams of cocaine, 1 gram of marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.
Lewis was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with two counts of a misdemeanor of criminally using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Lewis was arraigned in Cortland City Court and taken to Cortland County Jail on $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 bond.
He is due to appear in court today at 3:30 p.m.
