Forecasters are predicting early showers and thunderstorms for today's weather forecast.

There will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning going into the early hours of the afternoon.

It will also be a cloudy day with temperatures near 69 degrees that will drop to the low 40s going into the evening.

Here is a look at the forecast for the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a 30 percent chance of precipitation after 7 a.m. There will be low temperatures of around 56 degrees during the day and dropping to the mid 30s in the evening.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with only a 20 percent chance of rain in the afternoon after 2 p.m. Temperatures will increase compared to Monday, with a high near 63 degrees and drop to around 49 at night.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, along with a 50 percent chance of rain throughout the day. Temperatures will rise to the mid 70s during the day.

Thursday: Partly sunny during the day with a high of about 73 degrees and a 40 percent chance of showers. It will then start to get cloudy late in the afternoon going into the evening, with a low of around 52 degrees.

Friday: Partly sunny with high temperatures in the mid 70s. There will also be a small chance of rain at 30 percent. Temperatures will be as low as the mid 50s throughout the evening.
