Forecasters are once again predicting showers and thunderstorms for today's weather forecast.

It will be a cloudy day in Cortland, with a 60-70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m.

Temperatures will finally start climbing in the afternoon and reach a high of about 76 degrees.

Thunderstorms will diminish overnight, as precipitation will finishing the night with mainly rain showers and temperatures falling to the low 60s.

Here is a look at the weather forecast for the next few days, from the National Weather Service in Binghamton.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming sunny as the day goes. There will be a 40 percent chance of rain ending in the middle of the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the low 70s and drop to the high 40s at night.

Friday: Mostly sunny and clear all day, with high temperatures in the mid 70s. There will also be clear skies at night with with temperatures around the low 50s.

Saturday: It will be a sunny day with temperatures in the mid 70s. Temperatures will drop going into the evening to the low 50s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and clear skies, with temperatures reaching the high 70s, almost 80s throughout the day. It will get cloudy at night with temperatures drastically dropping to the low 50s going into the evening.

Monday: Partly sunny with a small 30 percent chance of showers. Highs will be in the mid 70s during the day. It will then get cloudy at night with a 40 percent chance of rain and temperatures lowering to the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, along with temperatures reaching the low 70s.
