Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, June 28

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating clear and sunny skies along with temperatures increasing to a high near 83 degrees.

There will be a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Temperatures will then start dropping to around 64 degrees as we enter the evening hours.

Here is a look at the rest of this weekend's weather along with the beginning of next week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with there being a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high of around 78 degrees and drop to a low near 60 degrees at night.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with there still being a 40 percent chance of precipitation. However, temperatures will start to drop, compared to the other days. With temperatures only reaching a high near 71 degrees during the day and decreasing to a low around 51 at night.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 77 degrees. It will then get cloudy as we enter late afternoon hours. With there being a 30 percent chance of of light showers. Temperatures will then drop to a low around 58 degrees.

Tuesday: It will be partly sunny, with there still being a small 30 percent chance of precipitation. Temperatures will reach a high near 78 degrees during the day and drop to a low around 58 degrees at night.
