Cortland Weather Outlook: Tuesday, July 2

For today’s weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating possible thunderstorms and rain showers early in the afternoon.

It will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, with there being a 30 percent chance of showers.

Temperatures will reach a high near 77 degrees during the day and will then drop to about 62 degrees late in the evening.

Thunderstorms and showers however, will most likely stop before 11 p.m.

Here is a look at the rest of this week’s weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Wednesday: Partly sunny during the day, with temperatures reaching a high near 83 degrees. It will however start to get cloudy at around 3 p.m. With there being a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers that will last for the rest of the evening. Temperatures will then also drop to around 63 degrees.

Thursday (Independence Day): Partly sunny, with there still being a small 20 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day. Temperatures will increase to a high around 85 degrees during the day and decrease to a low near 67 degrees at night.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with there being a 70 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high near 84 degrees during the day and then drop to around 66 degrees at night.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 82 degrees. It will however, start to get cloudy late in the afternoon. With there being a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Temperatures will then drop to about 60 degrees at night.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 78 degrees during the day. Temperatures will then drop to around 57 degrees at night.
