Cortland Weather Outlook: Thursday, August 8

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating a mostly cloudy afternoon, with there being a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

There will also be southwest winds of up to 8 miles per hour throughout the day.

Chances of precipitation will begin to decrease late in the evening to around 50 percent.

Temperatures will increase reaching a high near 81 degrees during the day and decrease to a around 55 degrees at night.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to around 73 degrees during the day. However, it will gradually start becoming cloudy in the afternoon with there being a minimal 20 percent chance of showers in the evening. Temperatures will then decrease to a near 53 degrees at night.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with temperatures increasing to around 72 degrees throughout the day. It will slowly begin to get cloudy late in the evening, with temperatures dropping to a near 52 degrees at night.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high of around 75 degrees throughout the day. Temperatures will then begin to decrease at night to a near 56 degrees.

Monday: Mostly sunny along with clear skies throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high near 78 degrees during the day and decrease to around 58 degrees at night.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high near 76 degrees during the day. It will then get partly cloudy in the evening with there being a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Finally, temperatures will then decrease 56 percent at night.
