Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, August 9

After a few cloudy and rainy days, forecasters are now anticipating a mostly sunny day with temperatures increasing to a high around 74 degrees.

There will be west winds of up to 13 miles per hour throughout the day.

It will then begin to get partly cloudy late in the afternoon. With there being a slight 20 percent chance of showers early in the evening.

Finally, temperatures will decrease to a near 51 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this weekend's weather forecast along with the beginning of next week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Saturday: Partly sunny, with temperatures increasing to around 70 degrees throughout the day. There will be northwest winds of up to 14 miles per hour in the afternoon. It will then slowly begin to get cloudy late in the evening, with temperatures dropping to a near 52 degrees at night.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high of around 75 degrees throughout the day. Temperatures will then begin to decrease at night to a near 56 degrees.

Monday: Partly sunny along with clear skies throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high near 77 degrees during the day and decrease to around 55 degrees at night.

Tuesday: It will be partly sunny, with temperatures increasing to a high near 75 degrees during the day. It will then begin to get cloudy in the evening with there being a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Finally, temperatures will decrease to a near 56 degrees at night.

Wednesday: Sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 75 degrees during the day. Temperatures will then drop at night to around 53 degrees.
