The SUNY Cortland men's soccer team is ranked 11th nationally in Division III in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
The Red Dragons finished 17-3-3 last season and made their fourth NCAA tournament appearance in five years. Cortland was the SUNYAC regular-season champion and advanced to the NCAA third round to tie for ninth nationally.
Eighth-year head coach Steve Axtell's squad starts its season with a home game versus fourth-ranked Rochester on Friday, August 30 at 4 p.m. The SUNYAC schedule begins at home versus Brockport September 27.
