Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, August 17

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating a partly sunny day, with temperatures increasing to a high near 80 degrees.

It will then slowly begin to get cloudy in the afternoon with there being a 50 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms. Mainly after 3 p.m.

There will also be south winds from a range of 5 to 9 miles per hour during the day.

Temperatures will finally decrease to around 64 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this weekend's weather forecast along with the beginning of next week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Sunday: Partly sunny throughout the day, with temperature increasing to around 84 degrees. There will then be a slight 30 percent chance of scattered showers in the afternoon that will last until the end of the day. Temperatures will then begin to drop late in the evening to around 66 degrees.

Monday: Partly cloudy, with there being a 40 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high of around 86 degrees during the day and drop to a near 64 degrees at night.

Tuesday: Partly sunny. with temperatures reaching a high near 84 degrees during the day. It will then become partly cloudy late in the afternoon with there being a 50 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will then drop to around 60 degrees at night.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with there being a 50 percent chance of showers at the beginning of the afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high near 80 degrees during the day and decrease to around 56 degrees at night.
