Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, August 21

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating a mostly cloudy day with there being a 60 percent chance of scattered showers throughout the day.

Showers will then turn into possible thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Mainly after 4 p.m.

There will also be southwest winds that will reach up to 9 miles per hour in the afternoon.

Temperatures will reach a high of around 83 degrees during the day and drop to a near 61 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this week's weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Thursday: Mostly sunny during the day with temperatures increasing to a near 73 degrees. It will then begin to become partly cloudy late in the afternoon with there being a 40 percent chance of showers in the evening. Temperatures will finally drop to around 51 degrees at night.

Friday: Sunny with temperatures reaching a high of around 71 degrees during the day. Temperatures will then begin to drop to a near 49 degrees in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny. with temperatures increasing to a high near 75 degrees during the day. It will then begin to get partly cloudy in the in the evening with temperatures decreasing to around 54 degrees at night.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high of around 76 degrees throughout the day. Temperatures will then drop at night to a near 56 degrees.

Monday: Mostly sunny during the day with temperatures increasing to a high near 78 degrees. It will then begin to get partly cloudy in the evening with temperatures dropping to around 57 degrees at night.
