Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, September 2

For this year's labor day, forecasters are anticipating a mostly cloudy day with there being an 80 percent chance of showers that will last until the beginning of evening hours.

Chances of precipitation will then drop to around 30 percent after 5 p.m.

There will be south winds of up to 10 miles per hour throughout the the day.

Temperatures will increase to a high of around 71 degrees during the day and decrease to a near 54 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this week's weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with temperatures reaching a high of around 78 degrees during the day. It will then begin to get partly cloudy in the evening with there being a 30 percent chance of precipitation. Temperatures will finally decrease to a near 60 degrees at night.

Wednesday: Partly sunny during the day with temperatures increasing to a high of around 73 degrees. It will then get cloudy late in the afternoon with there being a 40 percent chance of showers in the evening. Temperatures will then drop to a near 45 degrees at night.

Thursday: Sunny with temperatures reaching a high of around 66 degrees during the day. Skies will then keep themselves clear in the evening with temperatures beginning to drop to about 45 degrees.

Friday: Sunny with temperatures increasing to a high of around 67 degrees throughout the day. Temperatures will then begin to decrease to around 47 degrees in the evening with it beginning to become partly cloudy late in the afternoon.
