Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, September 28

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating a mostly cloudy day with there being a 50 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The day will start off being partly sunny, with showers taking place after 3 p.m.

Along with these showers and possible thunderstorms, there will also be south winds of up to 10 miles per hour.

Temperatures will increase to a high of around 78 degrees throughout the day and drop to a near 51 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this weekend's weather forecast along with the beginning of next week, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Sunday: Partly sunny with temperatures increasing to a near 71 degrees in the afternoon. It will then begin to become cloudy in the evening with there being minimal chances of showers. Temperatures will finally drop to around 50 degrees at night.

Monday: Partly sunny with temperatures increasing to a high near 72 degrees during the day. However, there will still be a 40 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day. Temperatures will then drop to around 54 degrees at night.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny throughout the day with temperatures reaching a high of around 78 degrees in the afternoon. Clouds will then begin to increase late in the afternoon with there being a 40 percent chance of showers in the evening. Temperatures will finally drop to a near 58 degrees at night.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with there being a 40 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high near 77 degrees during the day and drop to around 51 degrees at night.
