Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, October 6

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are predicting a mostly cloudy day with there being a 40 percent chance of scattered rain showers in the afternoon.

Along with these showers, there will also be south winds of up to 13 miles per hour during the day.

Winds will then increase to around 21 miles per hour late in the evening.

Temperatures will reach a high near 63 degrees during the day and drop to around 54 degrees at night.

Here is a look at this upcoming week's weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Monday: Partly cloudy with there being a 50 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms throughout the day. Chances of showers will then decrease to around 30 percent in the evening. Temperatures will reach a high of around 60 degrees during the day and drop to a near 43 degrees at night.

Tuesday: Partly sunny with temperatures increasing to a high near 57 degrees during the day. There will also be a 30 percent chance of precipitation in the afternoon. Temperatures will then begin to drop at night until reaching a low of around 38 degrees.

Wednesday: Sunny with temperatures reaching a high near 62 degrees during the day. Temperatures will then decrease at night to around 39 degrees.

Thursday: Sunny with temperatures increasing to a high near 63 degrees throughout the day. It will then become partly cloudy in the evening with temperatures dropping to a low of around 40 degrees at night.
